I'd feel daft if I had been using sundering before they buffed it, since it was obvious by them buffing it that it was underpowered. At any rate, sundering is still bad.

you guys need to quit whining that your items are worth less now. The only good currency is cold hard cash, or maybe standard materials like tanned hides that will always be needed. Stuff like this happens and its good. Change is good. Stuff like this happens in real life too. I bought a AGPGeforce 6800 and a little bit later the PCI was announced, making my grahpics card already obsolote and crap. Didn't you think that weapons were a risky investment around the time of the factions release anyways? Should have liquified your assets into cold hard cash if you got that mush in items. It was forseeable.

Everyone is always going "OMGZ Areanet did this or did that." Id they listened to the kinds of you we would still be playing Guildwars v1.0. I am glad they disregard yall's bitching. More drops mean more equality in a game thats all about NOT GRINDING and NOT FARMING. Games like Diablo and WoW are all about gear; GW isnt.

I just found furious and sundering to be gold sinks for those without a concept of real math. Now one might argue there's a remote reason for it.
I now return you to the flame-trapped thread.

[As for vampric doing more damage, unless I am mistaken vamp only gives you some health back, converting x amount of damage to leeched dmg, not adding damage.]

First off... lots of people bought the mods specifically for the new equipment coming out... which we knew of because of the preview event.. yet there was no sign of a 20/20 sundering mod anywhere in the preview event for any weapon..so obviously it wasnt forseeable!... secondly... if Anet can let out all kinds of info about what to expect .. yet give not even the slightest hint to weapon mod upgrade changes.. then clearly they are the ones u should be left holding the bag.. not the dedicated player.. who was only trying to prepare themself for the next chapter.. in what we hope will be a great game..

So this may be slightly off topic...but I wonder how it will impact the price of victo's bulwark. (I realize they are different with the bulwark being -2 in stance) There is a new shield you can buy from the armor guy...in either the strenght or tactics version ...req 9 dam - 5 20% chance health +30.

Sorry if this is old news...or if this if this shield type was already available elsewhere. I was just happy to be able to get a +30 Always shield that was strength based without paying 80k for it..the dam reduction being a perk..

If you _bought_ a sundering mod previous to the buff, as in, when they were still 10/10 and you are pissed off about it. Well that's largely your fault for being such an idiot for buying such a useless mod in the first place.

Even at 20/20 it's poor in comparison to vampiric

Well, the price might not be way too much, they made it so you have a better chance of getting good drops now, therefore it might not be soo much more than 10/10, and the price of 10/10 might drop, i saw today that the price oof superior absortion went from 60k to 39k, the superior monk runes also dropped like 4k each

Why are you people complaining anyways. Appart from 10/10 sundering users which are screwed, the improved quality drops as well as greens from each boss mean that farming for perfect mods as well as superior runes will be nearly non existant now.

I dont know about you but in a game based on skill rather then armount of time spent farming seems a DAMN GOOD THING

gah praising vampiric..
all good fun +3 damage not bad for the price of 5-10k too bad -2 health per second is very annoying. 3 health per hit which means you have to be next to a monster and using frenzy/flurry/ attack speed bonus to keep up with the degen. Sure you can switch your weapon everytime but is 3 damage really worth to -2 health persecond and switching weapons every time you have to run after an enemy.

It shouldn't be a problem unless you are soloing.

If you are in a group, even the healing henchie does a good job at keeping you healed

Just attacking at a normal speed will keep you healed. An IAS stance would yield a net gain in health.

Is weapon swaping worth +3 damage per hit? You bet it is. Is it worth it to bring Exe strike into PvE? I mean, you need to watch a skill recharge and hit a button every few seconds.

No don't...

Just try not sucking, yes the 3 damage is worth the degen. It adds up, if you normally hit for 30 - that 3 extra damage is 10% extra...
